paris-proof social housing

“Our ambition is to offer a healthy, sustainable and nature inclusive environment in a neighbourhood with affordable living. Housing will be constructed with timber and the materials create a soft transition between public space, collective space and private spaces.”
Matteo Bettoni

respecting historical qualities

The 'village repair' of Bomenbuurt was a delicate process. We had the responsibility to integrate the new design in this neighbourhood while respecting it's historical qualities. Materials were carefully selected during the design process.

Our client Parteon focuses with various partners on innovation and sustainable construction techniques that contribute to sustainable and affordable living. They believe it is important to minimize the CO2 impact during construction.

Timber frame construction, prefab units and CLT walls are used for this project.

Green Deal agreement for timber construction

"By 2025, we will build one in five new homes in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area (MRA) from wood. That is the aim of the Green Deal agreement for 'Houtbouw', to which more than 80 organizations signed on October 21, 2021." - Parteon
